Anderson High School

Anderson is a very unique school. We have a pretty big building, a good band, and great teachers. Our library is staffed by people who care about books. Anderson is a more priveledged school, because of the fewer incidents that happen there. An example is a lot of the things that are held at Anderson. We have Pep Rallies, late start days, Homecoming, and other events that might be considered too much to handle at other schools. Luckily, our staff can handle it. So we get a lot of rewards for being a student at Anderson.
We also have many clubs at Anderson. Everything from Chess Club to Girls Robotics Club, you name it. We probably have something that addresses that. I am in German Club. I get to go to an event in November called Wurstfest, a German festival that is lots of fun to go to. Our clubs also hold their own events to oppose one another. For example, German Club will recently be opposing French Club in a soccer game. That sounds like classic language rivalry.
But to sum it up, Anderson has lots of activities. It has many lucky students to be getting to take part in its wealth of resources. But, Anderson should not be a model school. It should be the average. Especially for all of the taxes parents pay. But that's a discussion for another time.
Bye!

Immigrants of Illegal Status in the US!

I know that we definitly have illegals in this country. They keep our infrastructure running day and night! We have a lot riding on these poor immigrants. They can be anyone from a roof repairman to a packager at a meat factory. (I am assuming this because the factories and private repair companies look for cheap work - no questions asked. When they start to pass that kind of work, they are grilled by an interviewer.) I believe that they come to this country for its freedoms, a better life, and most importantly, much more money. I've heard many stories of poverty-stricken Hispanics that have nowhere to go for a better life except for here. My heart goes out to them when it's that situation.

I have heard and read about how the US Border Patrol, Vigilantes, and many other patriots who have no sympathy for them take them right back to Mexico or wherever the're from. The most common way that the illegals are dealt with is deportation, I believe. When a situation gets out of hand, or when a vigilante is really bad, they might kill the illegal. But thank goodness for a lot of immigrants actually getting through. After that, they always have to deal with the issue of deportation by the police.

So let's face it. Illegals come to this country, run through all of the risks, settle here, stay undercover for 5 years, and then try to pass a citizenship test, which they could be busted for. It's a hard life, but it's still worth it.

Some people say that it's the law, and that it shouldn't be broken. I'll have to disagree with that. If Americans hadn't broken the law back in the 1700's, we would be British citizens and having to deal with the issues of colonies. If people hadn't broken the law after the Civil War, we would still be segregated. All people who have that mentality really should adjust their view on life. Breaking the laws now and again needs to happen so that the Constitution can ADJUST WITH THE TIMES, just like it says in the Constitution about the need for amendments.

Thank you.
